Im asking for everyone\’s help here in pokerweblogs if they could find the time to check out the logo that we have come up with and give us input as to how we should go about it.
We plan on organizing an event and the logo is one of the important aspects that we will be using in terms of marketing.

The Chinese New Year was celebrated a few days ago and some of us went off to old Manila where the Chinatown of the Philippines is located. The poker boys led the china town tour, bringing along a very diverse group of Chinese, Indian, and Polish students of the Institute.
We all rode the local tram to visit china town and as expected there were a lot of people crowding the small side streets of China Town. There were a lot of things happening and we were happy to see that the students were pretty excited to be immersed in the culture that these streets provided. These streets hold a lot of history and I\’m glad that the poker boys took the initiative to take them to this place.

Last January 22, 2009 we all celebrated Poker Boy Ken\’s Birthday during AIM Poker Nights. It coincided with the Poker Tutorials that Ken was heading and we made sure that this is one birthday that he won\’t soon forget.
It has been a tradition here at the Asian Institute of Management that Birthday celebrants receive a Cake in the Face Ceremony. And true to tradition, Ken got his Cake in the Face ritual during AIM Poker Nights. I guess it was just fitting for him because he Co-Founded this little poker community of sorts.

The Poker Boys will be organizing a POKER tutorial for the Poker virgins who are interested in learning how to play the game. Majority of the participants will be the students of the Asian Institute of Management and to our surprise a lot of them still don\’t know how to play.
This will be the first official poker tutorial that will be conducted by AIM Poker Nights.
It will be held at the School\’s pool side on Thursday and another one will be held on Saturday.
Most of you would probably agree with me that we are all but students of the game. We learn every time
we play and the Poker boys wants to give back by passing on the knowledge. More people who know how to play the sport means more people who support it and more people to play with. Poker has become a global sport and it fitting that we learn through each other.
To all of you who consider yourselves students of poker; Good Luck!
To those who consider themselves masters of poker; there will always be room for learning.
The Poker Boys have started this little poker club in the Asian Institute of Management, one of the premiere graduate schools of business in Asia. They depended on their own creativity and love for the sport to make this bi-weekly event possible.
In the initial stages of AIM Poker Nights, they made a Poker table out of some arts and crafts materials and it was really funny seeing them pull this off. This year they have managed to get a brand new Poker Table top that was on sale in one of the many sport stores in ParkSquare Mall in Makati. They got it for 2,000 pesos which is around $40. The New Poker Table was made in China but it seems to be good enough to serve its purpose. It has received a lot of raves from the AIM Poker Community and it was something the boys really wanted to do.
We are very grateful for the support that we have received and because of this the poker boys were able to start on their journey on providing great poker entertainment in the institute.
This is my first blog with PokerWeblogs and it has been an interesting journey looking and reading different people\’s blog here in PokerWeblogs. I am glad that I have joined this community of Poker Bloggers and hopefully I will get a chance to meet some of you guys.
I\’m writing from the Philippines and Poker has become a big thing here and I am just doing my part in promoting the sport that we all love. I work closely with Kenneth Reyes-Lao, Mark Uy, and Dindo Ofrecio who started a Poker Community in their school. They all study under the MBA (Masters in Business Administration) in the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), Makati Philippines. They started just last November and they have created a small following.
The Poker Boys (as I have lovingly called them) have started the AIM POKER NIGHTS every Thursday and Saturday night. The rationale behind this was it was getting to depressing to be cooped up in the dorm and just study. They wanted to do something they all enjoyed and should be able to share with everyone as an escape from the monotony of school work.
It has been a fun journey for everyone who participated in this project and hopefully with everyones support we will be able to continue this on and pass it down to future students of the institute.
Check out our blog to see how we have progressed in a months time.
